ANISHA KAUL grew up at various places before the family settled in New Delhi. Her roots trace back to Kashmir, which somewhat is lost to her. She inherited exile at birth and her existence is that of a genocide survivor. Most naturally, questions of belonging are of great significance to her. Lately, she has resolved to return home someday and pen down a few words under the shade, in their ancestral backyard.

Currently Anisha is a PhD Scholar at Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, India.

She is a contributor to the Fevers of the Mind Wolf Pack, Midwest USA. Her poetry has been published in various reputed national and international print and online anthologies. With work forthcoming or already appeared in Cardigan Press, Ethel Zine, Southchild Lit, Splintered Disorder Press, 3 Moon Magazine, Dwelling Literary, Fevers of the Mind, From the Farther Trees, Briefly Zine, The Indian Feminist Review, Ink Drinkers Poetry, Fahmidan Journal, Glitchwords, Kingz Daily, The Minison Project, Beir Bua Journal, Small Leaf Press, Analogies & Allegories Literary Magazine, and Visual Verse, among others.

Kaul served in the capacity of the editor for her College Magazine Pramila, University of Delhi, 2016-17 issue. She has also qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professorship conducted in India.
